About Us
London Chimney Sweeps brings 30 years of experience to your household. We are a family-owned and ethically-operated business. London is licensed, bonded and insured and our technicians are certified through the CSIA – Chimney Sweep Institute of America. London is also a member of the National Chimney Sweep Guild.
Who are we? Our staff, or London family, is: John Cordes, Owner/Master Sweep Cathleen Clifford-Cordes, Co-Owner/Business Office Tim England, Mason Derek Haupers, Technician Phil Nagan, Mason/Technician Assistant Techs and Masons on staff, too! We believe in what we do. We take pride in knowing that our services make your home safer, cleaner and energy-efficient. We believe in using the resources that are readily available to our customers. For example, we encourage our customers to maintain and use their wood burning fireplace. Why pay a lot of money to choose a gas insert, not to mention the rising cost of gas to use it, when you can pay half the cost for a wood insert and use natural resources like wood and fresh air to regulate and heat your home? London Chimney believes in and uses the Chim-Air system – the Air-a-lator and the Chim-a-lator. It is a complete air flow management system for your fireplace. This system converts your existing fireplace into a highly-efficient heating appliance while maintaining the aesthetic qualities of an open fireplace. Instead of the fire utilizing room heated air, fresh air is brought in from the outside and introduced directly to the heating chamber.
